Bangladesh is the eighth-largest country in population. 1,800 people live in a square mile (259 square kilometres) in our country. This figure is called the density of population. The population of our country is growing gradually. The birth rate is 35.8, the death rate is 14.2 at present. So the population is increasing by 2,16 percent. The present growth rate is 27 per 1000, a high growth rate. If our population grows at such a high rate the additional people will need many additional things.
