Hope this letter of mine will find you in the best of health. We are also well here by the grace of God. Today I would like to give you a short description of Andhra's devastation caused by the cyclone recently.
The east and west area of Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh were totally destroyed by the dreadful cyclone blown at the speed of 200 k.m. per hour. This dangerous natural calamity took place at dawn on 6th November 1996. As a result of this dreadful cyclone, the east and west area of the Godavari district turned into a burning ghat. The destruction of houses and plants is a beggar description. The total loss of this cursed cyclone is worth Rs. five thousand crores. Almost 71 lakhs of people were homeless. There is no sign of 1300 people who went to catch fish in the river. More than 2500 people died due to this cyclone.
Man is still helpless to overcome natural calamity which causes a sudden loss to a great extent. The recent cyclone of Andra Pradesh reminds us of this. None can say what will happen in a moment. Our life is still in the hand of nature. No more today.
