Sir,

I Shall be thankful to you if you kindly publish the following matter in your esteemed daily in the interest of the people of our country,

Now it is seen that newly married wives lose their lives for a fortune by the family of a bridegroom. They are bound to commit suicide or instances of homicide are occurring. Brides are being burnt by the bridegroom as the bride's parents fail to pay unlimited dowry. Dowry is nothing but to take wealth from the bride side by the bridegroom in the marriage as a demand. Dowry is a social evil. It is like an infectious disease. We have to fight to drive out the evil system. Law has been passed to prevent it. But only law and legal action can do nothing. All people especially the youths of the country, should come forward and extend their sympathetic co-operation to eradicate the worst system from our society right now.
