Kolkata, Dec. - 15 A Left political party, some ultra Left parties and a section of Congress Party have called a Bangla Bandh for 24 hours on the 10th instant against the high rise of electricity charges, the hospital fees and the school-college fees. The protesting parties assert that the Government do not see to the interest of the common people. They admit that under the present circumstances the prices of the above things need to be increased, but not at such a high rate at a time. It may be increased step by step so that the poor people do not suffer. They believe that there will be a complete bandh in W. Bengal paralysing the normal life of the State. They have appealed to the public to respond to their call and maintain peace.
