How to Password Protect Workbook in Excel, 2003 to 2007

Microsoft Excel (MS Excel) is a spreadsheet application developed by Microsoft. Most of people are use it. The following steps give users of Microsoft Excel instructions on password protecting their Workbook documents.[Bangla MS Excel Tutorial E-book Free Download ]
Instructions:
  • Step 1. Open a workbook.
  • Step 2. On the File tab, click Save As.
  • Step 3. Click on the Tools button and click General Options. (Like below picture)

  • Step 4. In the Password to open box, enter a password and click OK. (Like below picture)

  • Step 5. Retype the password and click OK button.

Note: this feature also encrypts your Excel file. If you lose or forget the password, it cannot be recovered.


  • Step 6. Finally Enter a file name (Like as protect) and click Save.

It requires a password to open this Excel file now. The password for the downloadable Excel file is "easy".
